Calendar Portland State University’s Sonic Arts & Music Production (SAMP) presents "Edge of Perception," an installation exploring sonic and acoustic phenomena revealing the psychological power of sound. Auditory illusions are observed when the listener’s perception of a sonic environment is not equivalent to the auditory stimuli that are present. Step into a world of sensory manipulation to experience auditory illusions such as spatial emotional curation, a trip through nature, heightened sensations of contemporary music and more. ReWire Festival is a creative extravaganza featuring the diverse talents of students in the Sonic Arts and Music Production program, in collaboration with PSU Theater lighting design students.
