Now in its fourth season, Queer Opera brings an exciting weekend of opera to Lincoln Hall, featuring scenes from “Manon,” “Roméo et Juliette,” “Susannah” and the powerful final act from “La Bohème”—all told from a queer point of view. In addition, for the first time, QO is producing a full-length opera, “The Times Are Nightfalls” by Rosśa Crean and Aiden Feltcamp. Billed as a sequel to Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” the one-act opera explores themes of rape culture and grief through the lens of two women who find solace in the most unexpected place: one another. The scenes will be accompanied by a small instrumental ensemble.
