All officers of the Residence Hall Association are expected too:

1. Uphold the RHA constitution and bylaws
2. Attend weekly executive board meetings
3. Attend weekly general assembly meetings
4. Participate in RHA programs and activities
5. Maintain 6 office hours a week
6. Represent RHA and residence life at various university recruitment and retention events
7. Build rapport that creates a positive working relationship with University students and staff

President

1. Provide the leadership, motivation, and direction to achieve the goals stated in the RHA constitution.
2. Organize and preside over meetings, general assembly and executive board, which including preparation of agendas.
3. Serve as the official spokesperson for the Association.
4. Assist Treasurer with budget development.
5. Perform monthly meeting with each executive board member
6. Attend weekly meetings with the RHA advisor.
7. Fulfill duties of vacant positions until vacancies are filled.
8. Create and dissolve all ad-hoc committees.
9. Represent RHA at the Associated Students of Portland State University (ASPSU) meeting

Vice President

1. Serve as a voting member of the delegation and the Executive Board.
2. Perform duties of the President in their absence.
3. Plan RHA leadership trainings & retreats.
4. Conduct the RHA Elections.
5. Solicited and develop proposals for major community improvement.
6. Perform a tour with Maintenance each term where minor suggestions for community improvements are given.
7. Conduct monthly meetings with RHA President.
8. Conduct monthly meetings with the RHA advisor.

Secretary

1. Serve as a voting member of the delegation and the Executive Board.
2. Be responsible for keeping the records of all RHA business and events.
3. Record and distribute the minutes of all Association meetings.
4. Be responsible for keeping attendance records at General Assembly meetings.
5. Keep all correspondence of the Association.
6. Create and maintain the RHA website.
7. Secure facilities for all meetings.
8. Conduct monthly meetings with RHA President.
9. Conduct monthly meetings with the RHA advisor.

Treasurer

1. Serve as a voting member of the delegation and the Executive Board.
2. Develop a budget for RHA.
3. Be responsible for the proper accounting of receipts and disbursements of the Association.
4. Manage the budget allocation process
5. Report on the financial condition of RHA, including all revenues and expenditures at every meeting.
6. Coordinate Final Exam and Linens programs.
7. Attend the Rate Setting meeting.
8. Conduct monthly meetings with RHA President.
9. Attend monthly meeting with Res Life Office Manager to review the budget.
10. Attend monthly meeting with advisor to review the budget.

Programer

1. Work with the Community Representatives to generate a campus-wide programming plan for each term based  on the group’s vision and goals.
2. Supervise one small-scale program a month, including community service events, and delegate program responsibilities to other members.
3. Supervise one large-scale program per term, including community service events, and delegate program responsibilities to other members.
4. Coordinate publicity for all RHA programs and events to be distributed throughout campus.
5. Manage all programming form which includes proposals and evaluations.
6. Compile annual programming report.

National Communications Coordinator 

1. Build and maintain communications with regional and national organizations, including  the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), National Information Chairs (NICs), and Regional Board of Directors (RBDs).
2. Nationally re-affiliate RHA in May, includes paying dues, online re-affiliation form, and writing annual NIC report.
3. Keep RHA updated on regional and national activities.
4. Encourage bidding for Regional awards (as listed in the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence  Halls [PACURH] Policy Book).
5. Coordinate delegation selection, registration, and travel arrangements for all regional and national conferences: PACURH (November), No Frills (February), and NACURH (May).
6. Attend all conferences as a voting representative.
7. Order pages from the NIC for the Resource File Index (RFI) and encourage use of it.
8. Conduct monthly meetings with RHA President.
9. Conduct monthly meetings with RHA Advisor.

Community Garden Coordinator 

1. Be responsible for keeping the records for the Community Garden.
2. Coordinate at least one Garden Event per month (i.e., BBQs, garden parties, lecture series, etc.)
3. Manage application process for plot distribution
4. Establish and uphold  Community Garden policies and procedures
5. Conduct monthly meeting with RHA President
6. Conduct monthly meeting with RHA Advisor
