Aquatics and Safety
The aquatics center inside Campus Rec includes :
a 6-lane 25-yard pool and a 10-person spa on the 2nd floor of the ASRC building.

Lap swim is a dedicated time for members to use the pool to swim laps or aqua jog. There are times when lap swim coincides with another program and that program takes priority. However, there will always be at least 3 laps available for lap swimming during those programmed times. A priority lane is available during scheduled lap swim times for persons needing accommodations. Please let the lifeguard on duty know if you are going to utilize the priority lane to ensure it is clear.
OPEN SWIM (Half and Full Pool)
Open swim is a dedicated time for recreational use of the pool. During Half Pool, three lane lines will be taken out for members to play or use water toys. Half of the pool will be used for recreational swim while the other half remains open for lap swim. During Full Pool Open Swim, all the lanes will be taken out and the entire pool is used for recreational activities. Lap swimming occurs during Half Pool but not during Full Pool Open Swim.
Youth are allowed to use the pool during youth hours in the building. Youth and their parents/guardians can use the pool on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Paid members are able to bring in their children for FREE! Parents/guardians must be participating in the activities with their children. All children under 2 must have proper swim diapers (i.e. plastic pants, not "Little Swimmers" or similar). Swim diapers are available for purchase at the member services desk.
