But there are plenty of options on campus for those who choose to not participate in the meal plan: Victor's at the Ondine offers fresh, all you care to eat meals in the residential restaurant. It's also open to students, faculty and staff who don't live on campus. The food court in the Smith Student Union offers fresh brewed Starbucks coffee, Noah's Bagels, and favorite classics at the PSU Grill. The student run Food For Thought Cafe offers fresh, local and organic meals in the basement of Smith. Viking Billiard and Bowl is just around the corner from Food For Thought. The Meetro Cafe is located in the King Albert Hall - with Portland Roasting Coffee, Oregon Chai and free wireless internet. They also carry assorted snacks and foods.
For more detailed information about dining options on and around campus, check out PSU Dining.
And of course, when you are living in the middle of it all, literally hundreds of restaurants, cafes and eateries are just outside your door.
