The AVP of Academic Advising Announced
The Search Committee has successfully completed the internal search for the next AVP of Academic Advising. Dr Randi Petrauskas Harris will begin on April 1st. Randi currently directs the Transfer and Returning Students Resource Center and has been a member of the Advising and Career Services leadership team for five years. We are confident in Randi’s ability to lead the academic advising department and continue to strengthen relationships with school and college leadership. We extend our gratitude to the Search Committee for all of their work throughout the process.
Randi Harris Bio
Randi Harris has worked at PSU for almost 15 years in various roles, and most recently served as the Director of the Transfer & Returning Student Resource Center before accepting the position as the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Advising. She leads and collaborates on innovative projects and initiatives to enhance student learning, experience, and success. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from George Mason University, her Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership & Policy from Portland State University, and recently successfully defended her dissertation in partial fulfillment of her Doctorate in Postsecondary Leadership from Portland State in March 2024.
