Project Status: Paused

The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a holistic classroom evaluation process that is used consistently and broadly across PSU with the goal that each department would adopt and leverage this new classroom experience process. The project is currently piloting an updated classroom experience instrument to understand with the goal being to ensure that evaluation of the classroom experience is fair and transparent, useful, and includes input from faculty, instructors, and students. 

Accomplished

  • Pilot Instrument complete.
  • Winter 2023 Pilot launched.
    • 200 Courses participated in the pilot (English, Chemistry, Math full department participation).
  • Created improved communications to students.
  • Developed qualitative questions. 
  • Conducted factor analysis on pilot data. 
  • Needs assessment complete 
     

In Progress

  • Rowanna Carpenter is engaging in discovery to inform the next phase of the project.
