Ms. Willette is the Area Coordinator for the Sonic Arts and Music Production (SAMP) program in the School of Music. She developed the curriculum for distant learning in the area of music technology and currently teaches several on-line courses including Desktop Music Production, Sound Design, Recording Live Sound and Music Notation. In addition to the on-line offerings, she was instrumental in developing the curriculum for the BA/BS SAMP degree and currently teaches Recording, Studio Techniques, Studio Production and Acoustics. Ms. Willette has also been part of the Music Theory area at PSU since 2004 and currently teaches Music Theory II.

Willette is an active composer and arranger providing original music for a variety of media in the Portland area. As an engineer and producer, her recordings have been featured on OPB and her work incorporating music technologies in the reconstruction and production of 19th century band music from the Aurora Colony has produced numerous new scores for concert band and two distinguished recordings. Her work with the Aurora Colony has received two awards; the Heritage Excellence Award from The Oregon Heritage Commission and National Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History.

Ms. Willette graduated from the State University of New York Plattsburgh in 1992 with a BA in Music, and received a Master of Music in Choral Conducting degree from Portland State University in 2004.
