Students in any major are welcome to join PSU ensembles.

We have a university choir for everyone. With several choirs for voice students and non-music majors, we can help you find the right group to showcase your vocal talent as you study music.

The Jazz program offers the Jazz Vocal Collective for singers and the Jazz Big Band for instrumentalists.

Non-Western Ensembles

Join one of three main non-Western music ensembles: Taiko, Javanese Gamelan and the Mariachi Ensemble. Known for their inclusive attitude and unique style, these ensembles provide an alternative large ensemble environment for PSU music students and non-majors alike.

the Percussion ensemble in PSU’s Music program plays an exciting and eclectic array of music. With weekly practices and several performances per quarter, you will be able to play in a variety of diverse settings.

Sonic Arts & Music Production Laptop Ensemble (S.A.M.P.L.E.)

Laptop Ensemble is an ensemble of humans, laptops, controllers, and speakers. Students both compose and perform in the ensemble, exploring computer-mediated instrument design, sound synthesis, programming, and live interactive performance.
