Using a social-determinants of health lens, Dr. Lee is interested in preventative mental health intervention research for newly-arrived Asian immigrants and refugee families. Her scholarly interest is focused on how culture and values affect mental health, and shared decision-making in mental health care. She is further interested in the influence of political culture and values on public decision-making for basic health care for the poor.
