Sponsored by the School of Art + Design, the 2023 Portland Zine Symposium (PZS) will happen at PSU's Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom, located at 1825 SW Broadway. All events are free and open to the public from 11am to 5pm on Saturday October 28th and Sunday October 29th!
The entrance to the venue is on SW Broadway between Montgomery and Harrison streets. Elevators are located on the first floor by the student store and can be used to reach the third floor, where the event will take place. There are also stairs at the north and south sides of the building.

The Portland Zine Symposium (PZS) is an organization that hosts, among other events, a yearly free conference and zine social exploring facets of independent publishing and DIY culture. This event has been held in Portland, Oregon every summer since 2001 and hosts over 150 zinesters from around the world each year, as well as many free workshops, panels, and discussions.
PZS aims to build community between creators of independent publications in Portland, OR and beyond. Our events create space for artists to share their work while exchanging skills and knowledge related to zine culture, creative expression, and self-publishing in an accessible, non-commercial environment.
