Support the College of Urban and Public Affairs

Graduation ceremony

The College of Urban and Public Affairs (CUPA) attracts informed citizens who go on to create a better world through participation and collaboration with the community. Our students and faculty provide clear and diplomatic voices in turbulent times. They help towns anticipate future growth. They identify multifarious issues and work with communities to resolve them. Members of the CUPA community work locally, but they also think about the larger implications of their work. To that end, we are always working to improve our global community.

Giving Priorities

CUPA Dean's Hardship Fund
The CUPA Dean's Hardship Fund provides students with flexible funds to ensure a financial setback does not mean the end of their academic goals. Your support will help students fill gaps in their financial aid; cover the cost of transportation, groceries, or childcare; or take care of other challenges that may arise.

College of Urban and Public Affairs Fund
Make an impact now with a gift to the College of Urban and Public Affairs Fund. This is a current use fund used for miscellaneous expenses that benefit the college as a whole, and other purposes, at the discretion of the Dean.

College of Urban and Public Affairs Endowment Fund
Make an impact in perpetuity with a gift to the CUPA endowment. Each year, the College of Urban and Public Affairs Endowment generates revenue used for miscellaneous expenses that benefit the college as a whole, and other purposes at the discretion of the Dean.

The Nick Fish Memorial Fund for Leadership Endowment (Endowment)
Nick Fish (1958-2020) was a devoted friend of PSU's Hatfield School, serving on the advisory board and various committees over the years. Nick counted Dr. Nohad Toulan, the school's founding dean, as a dear friend and mentor. The College of Urban and Public Affairs is proud to award this scholarship each year in recognition of Nick's outstanding service in public life, including his service as Portland City Commissioner from 2008-2020. Gifts to this memorial fund will help us establish an endowed scholarship in Nick's memory, supporting students enrolled in PSU's Hatfield School of Government into perpetuity.
