PSU History

Lisa's initial connection with PSU was in 2010 as a field instructor for MSW students when she was in community practice. Beginning in 2013, she served as Coordinator for the School's 50th Anniversary year of events, including the 50/50 Photo Story project which still resides in the Portland campus ASRC hallways. She has worked with the Field Education Program since 2014.

Experience

Lisa completed her MSW at the University of Denver in 1996. Her primary practice background is in violence prevention and early intervention, particularly youth relationship violence, interpersonal violence and child abuse. She also worked extensively with youth peer education models and curriculum development to address these social issues, and provided individual and group counseling to teens in school and community mental health settings. Currently, Lisa coordinates field placements for BSW and MSW students, is a field liaison and MSW field seminar instructor.

Lisa enjoys time with loved ones, cooking, traveling, camping and growing flowers and vegetables in the garden.
