CYFS Admissions

Admissions | Child, Youth, and Family Studies

Students must be admitted into the program to earn a baccalaureate degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. Starting Winter 2026, the opt-in option will be phased out. You can declare your major for CYFS at any term. Admission requirements are the completion of 90 credits (junior standing), PSY 311 Human Development or PSY 460 Child Psychology or their equivalents.

Information sessions are held for students who are considering applying to the program. Visit the Information Sessions Calendar for upcoming session dates and times.
