The MME Department does not provide pre-admission evaluations to prospective graduate students. Students applying with backgrounds from non-engineering degrees are encouraged to look at the undergraduate BSME program to gain an idea of the type of coursework students with mechanical engineering backgrounds have to determine whether or not additional coursework is necessary before applying. If the graduate committee admits a student but determines that the student is deficient in a particular area, the student's admission letter would detail a list of courses the student would need to complete prior to graduation.
