What is computer vision?

How do we teach machines to see? Computer vision answers this by designing hardware and algorithms that can capture, process, and understand visual data. From grocery store self-checkout kiosks and smartphone photo-editing apps to parking assist cameras and automated CT scan analysis, computer vision touches your everyday life in more ways than you might realize.
