College of Education

The PSU College of Education (COE), located in downtown Portland, is recognized as the largest, most innovative, and most diverse school of education in Oregon. Our professional staff and faculty foster equity, diversity, and inclusion in our four departments: Counselor Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership and Policy, and Special Education. Our departments offer experiences for new and returning academics, as well as professionals seeking to expand their professional skills. We offer undergraduate opportunities, master’s degrees, a multidisciplinary doctoral degree, licensing programs, graduate certificates, and training programs.


Scholarship Universe is open for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. The deadline to apply for scholarships is April 1st, 2024. Students will be notified of scholarship awards in May and June.

College of Education advances in U.S. News rankings

 In today’s landscape of higher education, flexibility, accessibility and the ability to meet evolving student needs is more important than ever. With this in mind, U.S. News and World Report announced its 2024 rankings for the Best Online Master’s in Education Programs today.  The DICE PLUSS Grant is a scholarship for up to $30,000 in tuition support towards special education licensure. Undergraduate and graduate options available. The program has a strong interest in recruiting bilingual/bicultural candidates interested in working with culturally and linguistically diverse children with disabilities and their families in improving literacy outcomes.
