The mission of COE Technology Services is to provide consistent and high-quality technology and learning, training and consulting, technology administration, and individual technology support to to the COE community.

COE Technology Services is often the first stop for the COE community’s tech questions. Technology Services acts as the School’s liaison with PSU’s centralized Office of Information Technology and provide technology advice and consulting for faculty and researchers on a variety of projects when possible.

The Technology Center is an 18-seat PSU computer lab that is prioritized for use by COE students. It features Windows computers, basic video editing software, and black and white or color lab printing using print quotas. We also house more specific technologies, including a SMART board and an Apple TV. Our accessible workstations offer Kurzweil 3000, NVDA, and ZoomText. An active Odin account is required to log into any of our computers or to print.

The Tech Center also provides a space for workshops or small classes to meet on occasion. Instructors may request a Tech Center reservation via email to Reservations must be confirmed by Technology Services staff and may be subject to availability.

When the Tech Center is open, it generally operates as a self-service lab, though staff may be available to provide lab support on occasion; staff may leave the Tech Center to provide support elsewhere in the building. The best way to get support is to contact Tech Services to ask for support and/or request an appointment.

When the Tech Center is closed, students, faculty, and staff may use their PSU ID card to enter the lab from the hours of 8am–8pm Monday - Thursday, and 8am–6pm Friday. Students are also encouraged to visit the Broadway/IDSC Labs, which are open 7:30am–midnight and have color printing and additional specialized software available.
