MECOP Internship

The Computer Science Department, along with two other MCECS departments (ECE and ME), participates in the Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP), which is an industry-run internship program that offers trained mentors and interesting experiences in a variety of regional companies. This is a highly competitive program, which requires an application and selection process. Once accepted, students do two six-month paid internships, in their junior and senior years, respectively. (For CS students, the internship terms are Spring-Summer.) Their undergraduate study will consequently be extended for two terms into their fifth year.  Eligibility requirements and a suggested study plan for those who are interested in this program are given below.

Please visit the MECOP website for additional information.

Eligibility

To be eligible for MECOP selection, student should have a good academic standing, and plan to be admitted to the CS upper-division degree program in the Fall term of their junior year (MECOP Year 1); they are also expected to complete CS 314 and 333 before the start of their first internship.
