International Conference on Government Performance Management and Leadership

The International Conference on Government Performance Management and Leadership is a long-standing bi-annual collaboration among global universities and public administration institutions. The conference brings together scholars and practitioners to share research and innovations that strengthen government performance, institutional trust, accountability, and sustainable development.


Past hosts have included Portland State University (USA), Lanzhou University (China), Waseda University (Japan), Ho Chi Minh National Academy for Politics and Public Administration (Vietnam), and the College of Local Administration at Khon Kaen University (Thailand).

MEPI Student Leaders Program at Portland State University

In 2012, PSU joined four other U.S. universities as part of the U.S. Department of State's Student Leaders Program (SLP). SLP brings students from the Middle East and North Africa for four weeks of education and hands-on learning. PSU’s program is collaboratively designed by senior staff and faculty from the Departments of Public Administration, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Conflict Resolution, and the Center for Public Service.
