CES - Sustainable Products in Native Businesses Collaboration Assistant

Community Environmental Services is hiring a Collaboration Assistant for the Sustainable Products in Native Business role, supporting partnership work and implementation of a grant-funded EPA project to assist Native American tribal communities with pollution prevention by providing information on the use of alternative products. This position in particular will build on the existing work that began in January 2024 and support recruitment and design of a future in-person training opportunity. Ideal candidates should be interested in Native American communities and other sustainable practices, have experience with Excel, Google Suite, have effective teamwork skills, and qualify for PSU employee eligibility (undergrad or graduate student). This position will start in August and go through December 2025, with the potential for extension if the grant is also extended.

Green Resilient Industrial Portland (GRIP) Decarbonization Analyst Graduate Research Assistantship

PSU’s Center for Public Service (CPS) invites students interested in sustainability, industrial decarbonization strategies, and the just environmental transition to apply for a GRAship supporting evaluation and measurement of local investments in industrial decarbonization. The position will support the Center for Public Service and PSU Economics faculty in a project to help the City of Portland quantify the carbon emission reductions from the industrial sector through investments in clean industry, while supporting economic growth and community resilience. This position may be filled by a Master's or PhD student with aligned interests and skills in both professional communication and data analysis. This position will start in October of 2025, with an application deadline of August 20th.
