Course Withdrawal and Tuition Refund Policy

Please note that the Center's course withdrawal and tuition refund policy for credit and non-credit courses and workshops differs from the typical university policy. Unless otherwise stated for a specific program, the Center's general policy is as follows:

Written request to drop/withdraw from a course received by the Program Coordinator by 5pm, 7 business days prior to the first class (Minus any applicable non-refundable fees and $100 administration charge)100% tuition refund
Written request to drop/withdraw from a course received by the Program Coordinator prior to the participant attending the second class: (Minus any applicable non-refundable fees and $100 administration charge)40% tuition refund
Written request to drop/withdraw from a course received by the Program Coordinator after a participant has attended the second class0% tuition refund

All withdrawals must be processed by Center for Public Service staff. Please complete the PSU Non-credit Programs Withdrawal Request Form when you need to withdraw from a course. The date used for purposes of granting refunds shall be the date the form is received.

Appeals to the refund policy must be requested in writing and will be reviewed and decided by the Center for Public Service Leadership team.

If a course is cancelled by the Center for Public Service, students will receive a 100% refund of tuition with no penalties. Credit card fees are nonrefundable.
