JaLoGoMa Program Policy
Please note that the JaLoGoMa Program (Japanese Local Governance and Management) cancellation policy differs from the standard Center for Public Service policy.
Advance registration is required for the JaLoGoMa Program. If you have decided to participate, please register by the deadline specified on the program website. Once advance registration is completed, JaLoGoMa staff will notify the participants to make payment, and the payment is required to be made within 10 days after the notification.
If a registered participant is unable to attend, the participant or sponsoring agency is encouraged to send a substitute at no additional cost. Please notify JaLoGoMa program staff of any substitutions as soon as possible. If a substitute cannot be arranged, no refunds will be issued once payment has been completed.
Participants are advised to begin making travel and lodging arrangements only after submitting their program payment. Please note that CPS is not responsible for any travel cancellation fees incurred.
If the program is canceled by CPS after payment has been made, the program fee will be refunded to participants. However, due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates at the time of the refund, the refunded amount may differ from the original payment. Credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
Payment Methods:
- Credit card payments are accepted (JCB, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Please note that a processing fee (4.25%) will be added.
- If you prefer to pay by international wire transfer, please contact CPSJAPAN@pdx.edu in advance.
