BA in Art History, 2018

Art + Design, College of the Arts

Emily Fox, who earned a bachelor's degree in Art History from PSU in June of 2018, is applying her degree experience every day to excel in her workplace.

In the year leading up to her graduation, Emily took on an internship with Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education as their offsite curator at Cedar Sinai Park. Here she researched, cataloged, and installed a collection of over 100 paintings, prints, and photographs to be enjoyed by the CSP community. The success of her curation ultimately lead to her current position with the Oregon Society of Artists, where she serves as Education and Programs Manager.

Through networking and building relationships within the arts community, Emily facilitated partnerships between The Oregon Society of Artists and other non-profit organizations such as Cedar Sinai Park, Albertina Kerr, Multnomah County 4-H, and PDX Jazz.

Emily continues to find fulfillment in the non-profit field. She will enter the Non-Profit Administration master's degree program at the University of Oregon in the fall of 2019. With an emphasis on Arts and Cultural Leadership, she hopes to propel herself into roles of increasing responsibility and impact.
