Jobs & Internships
Portland is home to major industrial players in microelectronics, energy and power, manufacturing, transportation and other infrastructure technology. It is also home to one of the fastest growing tech sectors in the country. As evidenced in the video above, PSU is centrally located in an exciting and inspiring place to build a career.
Our proximity to industry allows students to take advantage of an array of internships, networking opportunities and other benefits of an urban campus. We also offer dedicated services to help students transition from the classroom to the workplace - and for alumni looking to make a change.
Career workshops. Maseeh College offers expert guidance on resume writing, interviewing, using LinkedIn, working with recruiters, searching job boards, networking, public speaking and more! Visit Career Workshops for more information.
The Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP) and Civil Engineering Cooperative Program (CECOP) are highly competitive five-year undergraduate programs that include two six-month paid internships. This hands-on experience allows students to immediately apply what they are learning in class to give them a competitive edge when they graduate. MECOP/CECOP students are often sought after by the companies with which they interned during the program, and are able to be immediate contributors in the workplace.
Interested students should apply at the end of their sophomore year. Applications are generally accepted between March 1 and March 31. Admission to the program is competitive.
MECOP is available to students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. CECOP is an identical program for Civil Engineering Students
