Project Status: Completed

Under the joint leadership of Professor Erin Shortlidge and Vice Provost Erica Wagner, this Inclusive Pedagogy and Curricular Innovation project aims to support faculty in evidence-based, culturally relevant, inclusive curriculum development in order to improve faculty experiences of teaching and students' learning experiences.

Accomplished

  • Culminating meeting was held where the faculty working groups shared their work and proposed next steps.  These ideas are the basis for a repository of inclusive pedagogy practices and resources created by faculty for faculty to help improve student academic success.

In Progress

  • Work is on pause and pending until reviewing and approved by CLAS leadership and provost.
  • Year two project is being finalized: develop and host Professional Development  (PD) workshops for faculty and graduate students to increase best practices in inclusive pedagogy funded in part by HHMI.
