Project Status: Discovery

The College Source uAchieve Degree Planner is an academic planning technology solution for students that leverages existing degree audit data to create personalized term recommendations leading to graduation. The uAchieve academic planning system includes degree audit, planning, and schedule-building components that work together to maximize credit applicability and ensure students have accurate, complete, and personalized information to achieve their educational goals on time and on their terms. The degree planning tool will enhance academic advising through transparency in student planning and advisor feedback on degree plans.

Accomplished

  • Subscription Agreement submitted to be reviewed by  Contracting and Procurement Services (CAPS) to execute the contract.
  • Verified a list of Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) with the vendor and approved vendor response after internal review.
  • uAchieve accepted redlines and the contract has been resubmitted to CAPS for final signatures with estimated completion by the end of 2025.

In Progress

  • Preparing to move College Source to a cloud-based system
  • Developing the project charter and project team.
  • Reviewing pre-kick off tasks
  • Anticipating a March kick-off date
  • Working with uAchieve to establish suitable solutions for updated encoding conventions to support the planners.

Project Health

  • Delays in contract execution could impact the timeline.
  • College Source cannot assign a project team and schedule project kickoff until the subscription and service agreement is signed
  • College Source will need to successfully move to a cloud-based system before software integration can begin
