Student Information on the Testing Process

Spring 2024 Term

We strongly encourage faculty and students to connect at the start of each term and to submit all exam support requests to Testing Services for the entire term by the end of Week 1, or as soon after that as possible.

Final Exams: All requests for Final Exams must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May, 29th, 2024. Please be sure to submit your exam request(s) by then if you'll need our support for one or more final exams. The further in advance you can submit these, the better.

All Other Exams: Support requests for all other exams (other than Finals) must be submitted at least 7 business days before the desired exam appointment date due to the communication and coordination necessary among students, faculty, proctors, the DRC, and so forth. The further in advance you can submit these, the better.

Please do not request an exception to this as it is what allows us to serve everyone who needs our services.

Please note that Academic Testing Services (ATS) is not part of the Disability Resource Center, and we are no longer part of SHAC (as of 2020). ATS is part of Academic Affairs, under the purview of Student Success.

Distraction-Reduced Space: An important note: The Distraction Reduced Space accommodation does not mean a private room. A room at up to half capacity can qualify as distraction reduced if the the room is otherwise quiet with minimal activity and distractions. Please remember that Testing Services has in-ear earplugs, and over-the-ear noise muffling earmuffs. Please let us know if you would like to use either or both of these during your exam with us.

If your instructor or a department designee is unable to proctor your exam with your DRC testing accommodations, you can initiate a request for PSU Testing Services to do so by completing the following two-step process.

Exam Support Request Process

Step 1: Carefully review the Student Accommodated Testing Agreement. We update this each term and by making an appointment with PSU Testing Services, you are attesting that you have read this read the entire agreement and agree to abide by it in full.

Step 2: Complete and submit the Student Accommodated Exam Request form. Note that we will need the completed exam request form submitted once for each individual exam. Please do not include information for multiple exams in one form submission or we will not be able to process your request.
