Biography:

Sean teaches fiction writing and composition at Portland State University, where he graduated with an MFA (Fiction) from the Creative Writing Program. His fiction and non-fiction have been published in McSweeney’s, New England Review, Five Chapters and elsewhere. Sean also teaches literature at the University of Portland, as well as composition and developmental and technical writing at Clackamas Community College. His children’s novel, Zelie Martin: Salamander Girl, is forthcoming from the Peasant Press. Sean also retired as a senior chief petty officer from the United States Navy.
