Undergraduate students may apply during their senior year. Graduate students and recent graduates also encouraged to apply. Please allow 8 weeks or more to prepare the application and receive recommendations before the campus deadline. For research, a well-developed proposal with strong support from your faculty is critical. Proposals focusing on topical, innovative issues relevant to the country of application tend to be of particular interest to Fulbright selection committees. English Teaching applicants may need to propose a side project or activity and should have strong English skills. Ability with the language of the country is important and may improve your chance of receiving an award. Start early to develop the necessary language skills!
