Supervisors: Using Student Learning & Licensure

Student Learning & Licensure (SL&L) is the College of Education’s platform for managing student assessments, clinical experiences, placements, internships, and other program activities. This page provides information to help you access and navigate SL&L, complete the activities associated with your role, and find tutorials and support when you need them.

Getting Started

How do I log into SL&L?

Supervisors can use their PSU account to log in to SL&L at staff.sll.pdx.edu or by going to Student Learning and Licensure and clicking on the appropriate login link. Note that students have a separate link to access SL&L (sll.pdx.edu).

SL&L Tools

Assessing Students and Time Logs

SL&L is used to complete assessments associated with students’ clinical experiences and other program activities. When an assessment is assigned to you, you can access it through In-Progress.

Save and Submit

Use Save if you want to return to the assessment later. Use Submit when you have finalized the assessment.

Approving Student Time Logs

The mentor teacher should be the person responsible for approving or rejecting teacher candidate hours.

Placements

Placements are added to SL&L weekly as they are confirmed. All placements should be entered by the fourth week of the term.
