COE Program Impact

We take great care in data collection and processing. All program data are anonymous or de-identified, then coded, aggregated, and reported to protect individual identity. These data are posted each summer for the previous year, except the employment survey which is updated every three years.

COE Program Impact is examined using the following CAEP measures.

Measure 1: Completer effectiveness and Impact on P-12 learning and development

COE Teacher Evaluation Data Summary (Initial Programs)
Local school district partners provide de-identified, anonymous, quantitative teacher evaluation results for COE graduates. These data are then aggregated across districts and examined for trends in graduate performance. The teacher evaluation data are comprehensive and reflect overall completer effectiveness and, as evaluations are based on best practices, indirectly the data inform our graduate’s ability to impact P12 student learning. The evaluation data below represents the most recently collected data.

Employment Survey
An Employment Survey is sent 6 months after completion and students are asked five questions about their current employment situation. The typical response rate for the Employment Survey is 40-47%. The data from the survey reflect all graduates of the College of Education including graduates of teacher, administrator, higher education, and counselor preparation programs.
