As a Senior Fiscal and Planning Officer within the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA), Cheyanne supports the Vice Provost for Academic Budget and Planning on various projects for OAA including preparation of the annual academic profile, the annual budget submission, and various financial analysis and reporting. She also serves as the Senior Fiscal Officer for two OAA units: Honors College and University Studies. Her services include financial analysis, reporting, and oversight; developing and monitoring annual staffing plans and budgets; and consulting management.
Cheyanne has broad work experience at PSU. She has been a Budget Analyst in the University's Budget Office and a Departmental Research Administrator (DRA) in the Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) Office. As a DRA, her focus was on the financial administration of grants within the College of Urban and Public Affairs and the Transportation Research and Education Center (TREC). She has extensive experience in budget development, financial monitoring, and award management.
Prior to coming to PSU, Cheyanne was a Financial Analyst/Program Administrator and a Contract/Internal Auditor at Sandia National Laboratories. While at Sandia, she provided oversight of a $60M+ budget, developed her audit skills, and participated in process improvements. Cheyanne has a Masters in Accounting from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Iowa.
