Past Due Accounts

A student's account may be sent to collections after three months (90 days) of non-payment. Student Financial Services will attempt to contact the student with two warning letters and a final notice that they are being sent to collections. Once the account is sent to an outside collection agency, the student will need to contact the assigned debt collector to make arrangements.

PSU Collections Services

PSU Collections Services provides information and some support for students whose accounts have been sent to collections, including:

  • Detailed review of student accounts
  • Assistance with financial options
  • Assignment of accounts to outside collections agencies
  • Application of Oregon Department of Revenue SOIL payments
