Join Trauma Informed Oregon for an interactive Zoom workshop hosted by Lydia Bartholow, DNP, PMHNP, CARN-AP and Hubert Matthews, PSS.

Session One: 12:00-1:00 PM (PST)

Session Two: 7:00-8:00 PM (PST)

Both sessions will cover the same material, so please only register for one of them.

We Will Cover:

  • What is fentanyl?
  • Community overdose prevention strategies
  • How to talk to children and adolescents
  • Why we are seeing fentanyl infiltrate the drug supply in our
    communities

Time for questions and community engagement will be available.

The Hosts:

Lydia is a doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner with a specialty in addiction medicine and previous training in western clinical herbalism. Her passion is health justice and trauma informed care. The most important work Lydia does (second to direct patient care) is education and consulting
work for organizations and individuals who want to be better care providers
for vulnerable populations. Lydia focuses all parts of her practice on radical public health, harm reduction and anti-oppression work. She lives in Portland, OR, on Chinook, Kathlamet, Clackamas and Kalapuya land.

Hubert Benny Matthews Junior born July 7, 1962 I am a recovering addict who has a good many years of active addiction. I have used everything from opiates to cocaine. I’ve used narcotics for most of my adult life. Got clean November 13, 2009. For the past 12 years I’ve worked in behavioral health in many capacities first a Peer support specialist then I became a outreach worker in the community working with The homeless population old town became a Certified drug and alcohol counselor also I am a qualified mental health associate. I also sit on the Metropolitan public defenders board and a member of the Measure 110 council. Currently I work for a Central City Concern as the Parole transitional Program supervisor.
