Research Week

At Portland State University, we are explorers, problem-solvers, and changemakers. Our research and scholarship bring discoveries and possibilities into focus. Together we take on the critical challenges facing our local and global communities and equip students with the skills they need to reach their full potential.

Research Week is a celebration of the researchers who help make our University great. This week-long series of events honors and calls attention to Portland State University faculty members' and students' exceptional research, scholarship, and creativity. Through our tripartite mission of research, service, and teaching, we exemplify the University's motto, "Let Knowledge Serve."

Celebrating Portland State Research

This year, Research Week is going virtual with a series of events that highlight the research, scholarship, and artistry of PSU faculty, staff, and students. Many of the week's events will be streamed live on Portland State's YouTube Channel.

We'll celebrate the work of PSU students with the Student Research Symposium and the Three Minute Thesis.

Learn more about the groundbreaking work in PSU University Research Centers--the Digital City Testbed Center, the Transportation Research & Education Center, and the Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative.

Join us for a virtual screening of the documentary film Picture a Scientists, followed by an @This Moment panel discussion presented by six women in STEM at PSU.

And meet the recipients of the 2020 and 2021 University and College/School research excellence awards at the virtual research awards ceremony.
