Portland State University (PSU) and the Graduate School are proud to welcome three new graduate student ambassadors for the 2025-26 academic year!
Elizabeth Lally, Kaitlyne Bozzone and Lauralee Millette will play a vital role in supporting prospective and incoming graduate students throughout their academic journey. The ambassadors serve as approachable, knowledgeable resources who offer guidance on navigating PSU's graduate programs, admissions process, and campus life. New or prospective graduate students can make an appointment to meet with a graduate student ambassador.
"The graduate student ambassadors serve graduate students at the early stage of applying for graduate school, for any program or discipline. Graduate Admissions helps with the application process and our Graduate Academic Services team serves matriculated students," said Faye Yu, PSU's Graduate Programs Coordinator.
Meet the new ambassadors:
Elizabeth Lally
Elizabeth is a PSU student in the Master of Social Work program. After her experiences working with youth in schools, she decided on the school social work track. She was born and raised in Southeast Portland and loves going to the many parks, music stores, and art studios. Her favorite activity is watching music videos on YouTube with friends.
"At my current practicum placement, an elementary school in southeast Portland, two of my colleagues expressed interest in the Masters of Social Work (MSW) program and asked for advice and insight into the program and application process. When I saw the posting for this role, I thought—I'm kind of already doing this for free, but it would be nice if I were getting paid. Both of my colleagues ended up applying and getting admitted, I'm very proud of them."
Lauralee Millette
With four years of experience as an educator, Lauralee brings a strong foundation in teaching and a deep commitment to accessibility and equity in education. Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work, she is passionate about creating inclusive environments that support the diverse needs of individuals and communities. Her work is grounded in a belief that education and social systems should be equitable and empowering for all. Outside of Lauralee’s professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, painting, playing guitar, spending time with friends, and taking walks with her dog.
"Graduate school has had a profound impact on my life. Returning to school had been a long-standing goal, and I’m incredibly grateful to now be part of the MSW program. This journey has brought meaningful friendships, and I’ve gained invaluable insight from both professors and classmates. Each class leaves me feeling energized, reinforcing my excitement to begin a career in Social Work. If I can help offer even a glimpse of that experience to someone considering Grad School, I’m more than happy to share. I can only speak from my own experience—but so far, it’s been positive."
Kaitlyne Bozzone
Kaitlyne is in the Book Publishing program and loves reading, writing, and book design. You can often find her making playlists, visiting bookstores, watching horror movies, and hanging out with her cats Oliver and Minerva!
