REC CENTER HOURS (9/22 - 12/10)

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. 
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.


  • November 11: Veterans Day
  • November 25-26: Thanksgiving
  • Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. - Jan. 1: Winter Break

Youth Hours

The Rec Center will remain closed to youth at this time. We will keep you informed as to when youth can return to the Rec Center. In the meantime, explore our family-friendly virtual offerings!


This fall, we have a mix of reservable and drop-in swim lanes. Visit the Aquatics webpage for details.

Pool Hours

  • Monday/Wednesday: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Zoom Link for Fall Term Virtual Group X Classes

Campus Rec offers a variety of live virtual Group X classes through Zoom for PSU students, faculty, and staff. A email is required to securely access the Zoom classes. 

How to Join Virtual Group X

  1. Find the class you wish to attend on the interactive Google calendar below.
  2. Click on the class name and the Zoom link within the class description.
  3. Sign-in via SSO (single sign-on authentication). The domain is
  4. Sign in with your odin username and password.

In-Person Group X

Fall Schedule: 9/27- 12/10

In-person Group X classes are drop-in style and free for Campus Rec members to participate in. Just drop in, no pre-registration required! In-person classes take place in ASRC 440/441 and ASRC 450 on the fourth floor of the Rec Center. Face masks are required to participate. 

Enjoy classes including Bodyweight Bootcamp, At-Home Strength, Yoga, Zumba, Tabata, Pump X and Cycle/Krank. Fill your days with the joy of movement!

Become a Group X Instructor

Stop by the Outdoor Program office at 505 SW Harrison Street (ASRC 180) to sign up for guided outdoor trips, and rent outdoor gear at affordable rates!

Outdoor Trips

Guided outdoor trips range from day hiking to kayaking and outdoor climbing. Fall trips are open to current Campus Rec members. Explore all of our fall trips on the Outdoor Program webpage.

  • Trip Registration Opens: Monday, September 27 at 12 p.m.
  • Trip Registration Closes: Wednesday before the trip date or when the trip is full. 

Rent Outdoor Gear

The Climbing Center is open for drop-in bouldering during all open Rec Center hours. Prior to using the Climbing Center, you must watch the Climbing Center orientation video, read through our updated COVID procedures, and take the Climbing Center quiz at Member Services in order to obtain a climbing wristband.

Fall Bouldering Hours 

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. 
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. 

Fall Staffed Hours

During staffed hours, top-rope climbing on the tall wall is available. 

  • Monday-Friday: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Belay Classes (10/2-12/4) 

  • Saturdays: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.



Fall Registration Opens: Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 8 AM
Fall Registration Closes: Wednesday, October 13 at 5 PM

For only $10, Campus Rec members can play in any and all leagues offered in a term, which consist of a four-week season, followed by one night of playoffs for the top four teams in each division.


Have fun and showcase your skills in our free Intramural tournaments. Play your favorite sports for one or two days without a long-term commitment. Tournament sports such as badminton and kickball are not offered as leagues, so you won’t want to miss out on these action-packed events.

Pickup Games

Stay active and enjoy friendly competition without the commitment during our free pickup games! Advance your skills in a fun, team setting for all skill levels. All equipment is provided. No registration required. Just show up and play!


Portland State Rec Clubs is a student-led program that provides opportunities for recreation and intercollegiate competition between students of all skill and ability levels. Participate in your favorite sports and activities, build community, and practice transferable leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment. 

Join one of our 25+ clubs or start a brand new club of your own!

Drop in on the Third Floor courts to play sports, socialize, and de-stress while exercising! Court space is reserved for various drop-in sports throughout the term. Sports equipment can be checked out at the Equipment Check-Out Desk next to Member Services.

Drop by the MAC Court (Third Floor) during this informal time to recreate and play non-traditional sports. Sports chairs and other equipment are available during this time. Open Inclusive Rec is open to all ability levels. Priority is given to inclusive/adaptive activities. 

Friday Night Fun

MAC Court

Campus Rec is offering a variety of fun programming on select Friday nights throughout fall term. Bring your friends and make new ones at the Rec Center during Friday Night Fun! From sitting volleyball to a theme-night dodgeball game, it is sure to be fun for all. No experience or registration required.

Goalball is a unique team sport originally designed for individuals with vision impairments. This fast-paced game offers an alternative to traditional court sports. Open to all abilities and vision levels, players are blindfolded to level the playing field and increase the challenge.

MAC Court

Get moving and meet new friends while learning and playing adapted variations of your favorite sports. Staff are available to teach you the basics, provide tips and tricks, and play friendly pick-up games. Sports chairs and other equipment provided. All are welcome to play!

Hood National Forest. French’s Dome is a lone, 160-foot tall andesite dome nestled among a sea of evergreen trees outside of Zig Zag, Oregon. This climbing area offers routes for all abilities so whether you’re a seasoned pro or brand new to the sport, French’s Dome has something for you. Come learn about the basic skills and techniques required to climb outside with a rewarding view when you get to the top! No previous experience required.
