STEM Degrees at PSU

The following degree programs are designated as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs by the Department of Homeland Security for the purposes of F-1 students' eligibility to apply for the STEM Extension of their post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). These designations are based on the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) Code used for reporting the degree program in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
