Thursday, September 17
5:00pm - 7:00pm

Are you living on-campus or new to PSU? Come get familiar with the area! Join our mentors as they show you around campus and all the best spots with an optional dinner together and end with playing board games. This is a great opportunity to meet other new students starting in Fall and connect!

Friday, September 18
12:00pm - 5:00pm

This is a good chance to pick up items for your home, explore different stores, and meet other new international students. We will meet at PSU and travel by public transportation. TriMet passes will be available for students who need one. Bring a payment method, reusable bags, and walking shoes.

Saturday, September 19
12:00pm - 2:00pm

Explore the PSU Farmers Market! We will walk through the market and have lunch together. You may bring your own lunch or purchase food at the market (lunch is not provided). Bring cash or card for purchases and a reusable bag if you plan to shop.

Monday, September 21
3:00pm - 6:00pm

Join us for a hands-on introduction to Portland public transportation. We will practice using the bus, train, and streetcar while learning how to plan a trip, read schedules, and use transit apps. TriMet passes will be provided for students who need one.

Wednesday, September 23

It's never to early to get an Oregon State ID Card! Whether you are planning to start driving or just want to stop carrying your passport, it's a good idea to apply for an Oregon State ID. Join us for an information session with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to learn about the process.

Come join us for a walking tour of downtown Portland. We will start at the Karl Miller Center and visit useful and interesting places near campus while helping you become familiar with the area. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

1:00pm - 2:30pm

Want to find a job on campus but not sure where to begin? Join this in-person workshop to learn how to find and apply for on-campus jobs, stand out from other applicants, and write your American-style resume and cover letter. We will also cover basic information on CPT.

Friday, September 25
3:00pm - 5:00pm

Take a break and meet other new international students at Game Night. We will have UNO, card games, and other casual group games. No experience is needed, just come ready to play and meet new people!

Saturday, September 26
9:45am - 7:15pm

Join us as we go to Seaside, Oregon on the coast! Enjoy a day filled with sun, sand, waves, and a lot of fun! The cost of the trip is $10 per person.

Sunday, September 27
10:00am - 2:00pm

Join us for a relaxing day at Portland's famous International Rose Test Garden! After walking around, we'll enjoy a picnic together in the garden - bring your favorite snacks or lunch to share as well as water. It's the perfect wat to experience time outside while spending time with friends.

Thursday, October 1
4:00pm - 7:00pm

Join us for a fun time climbing up a 32-foot wall or try bouldering at Campus Rec's indoor Climbing Center. No experience needed, just bring your PSU ID and sense of adventure.
