Ava Becking is an undergraduate student at Portland State University's Honors College where she majors in history and is Honors College Editorial Fellow for the 225-2026 academic year. She is interested in medical history, particularly the social construction of infectious and psychiatric diseases. She also researches the relationship between law, articulations of racial categories, and public health, as she previously interned at the University of Washington's Tribal Law Program and has maintained a strong attraction to the legal field.
