"William James and Aesthetics": A Lecture by Michael Clune

The MA in English program invites you to a talk by Prof. Michael W. Clune.

Michael W. Clune's most recent critical book is A Defense of Judgment (U of Chicago, 2021); the tenth anniversary edition of his first creative book, White Out, was released earlier this year. His recent critical and creative work has appeared in Critical Inquiry, Harper's, The Paris Review, and The Atlantic. Clune has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Mellon Foundation, and his creative books have appeared on "Best of the Year" lists in The New Yorker, NPR, and elsewhere. He is currently the Knight Professor of the Humanities at Case Western Reserve University.
