Berrin Erdogan and Talya Bauer, business faculty, published “Overqualification at Work: A Review and Synthesis of the Literature” in the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior. Maura Kelly, sociology faculty, wrote an article titled “Pre-apprenticeships: A Pathway into the Construction Trades for Women in Oregon” for Pride and a Paycheck, an e-magazine for tradeswomen. Dara Shifrer, sociology faculty, and Daniel Mackin Freeman, sociology graduate student, co-authored “Problematizing Perceptions of STEM Potential: Differences by Cognitive Disability Status in High School and Postsecondary Educational Outcomes” in Socius: Sociological Research for a Dynamic World. Jack Straton, physics and university studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of “2020: An International Juried Photography Exhibition,” organized and hosted by The University of Southern Mississippi Museum of Art and School of Performing and Visual Arts from Feb. 5 through March 22.
