  1. Lisa K. Bates, urban studies and planning faculty, recently released two reports, “The Cost of Oregon Evictions” and “Stability, Equity and Dignity: Reporting and Reflecting on Oregon Tenant Experiences During the Covid-19 Pandemic” through PSU’s Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative.
  2. Christine Cress, education faculty, and Stephanie Stokamer PhD ’11, former PSU adjunct faculty and PSU doctoral student, published “Communities, Choice and Change: Engagement and Service-Learning” in the book “The Palgrave Handbook of Educational Leadership and Management Discourse,” published by Palgrave Macmillan. 
  3. C. Jonah Eleweke, world languages and literatures faculty, published “The Hearing and Speech-Language Specialist and the Special Student” in the book “Enhancing Partnerships in Special Education: Innovative Collaboration, Consultation and Cooperation,” published by Information Age Publishing.
  4. Berrin Erdogan and Talya Bauer, business faculty, published “Overqualification at Work: A Review and Synthesis of the Literature” in the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior.
  5. Maura Kelly, sociology faculty, wrote an article titled “Pre-apprenticeships: A Pathway into the Construction Trades for Women in Oregon” for Pride and a Paycheck, an e-magazine for tradeswomen.
  6. Dara Shifrer, sociology faculty, and Daniel Mackin Freeman, sociology graduate student, co-authored “Problematizing Perceptions of STEM Potential: Differences by Cognitive Disability Status in High School and Postsecondary Educational Outcomes” in Socius: Sociological Research for a Dynamic World.
  7. Jack Straton, physics and university studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of “2020: An International Juried Photography Exhibition,” organized and hosted by The University of Southern Mississippi Museum of Art and School of Performing and Visual Arts from Feb. 5 through March 22.
  8. Melissa Thompson, sociology faculty, and Summer Newell MPH ’05 PhD ’18 co-authored a book titled “Motherhood after Incarceration: Community Reintegration for Mothers in the Criminal Legal System,” published with Routledge. 
  9. Grant Brady MS ’16 PhD ’19, Donald Truxillo, psychology faculty emeritus, Talya Bauer, business faculty, and Mark Jones, engineering and computer science faculty, co-authored “Development and Validation of the Privacy and Data Security Concerns Scale,” published in the International Journal of Selection and Assessment.
  10. Lindsey Wilkinson and Dara Shifrer, sociology faculty, co-authored “Educational Outcomes of Gender Diverse Youth: A National Population-Based Study” in Gender & Society.
