  1. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, presented “Centering Justice, Community Voices and Indigenous Knowledge in Climate Adaptation” at John Sloan Dickey Center at Dartmouth College on May 10.
  2. Berrin Erdogan, business faculty, was a discussant for the Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey) School of Business Administration’s third annual Research Day. Erdogan also presented a paper titled “Under Pressure: The Interplay of Stress, Supervisory Support Behaviors and Career Success.” 
  3. Óscar Fernández, university studies faculty, was a co-panelist on “From Sí Se Puede to Sí Se Pudo: How to Succeed as a Latinx Student,” organized by Myrna Najera Perez, The Learning Center’s academic coach, and hosted by The Learning Center on May 5 via Zoom.
  4. Ryan Petteway, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health faculty, was an invited speaker and featured poet for the inaugural Poetic Health Justice Forum at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. The event was co-sponsored by the Center for Health Equity and Méndez from Block Chronicles. 
  5. Nicole Rigelman, education faculty, co-presented as an invited featured speaker on “Catalyzing Change in Early Childhood and Elementary: Educing the Mathematician within Each Child” at the virtual Annual Conference of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics on April 22.
  6. Nicole Rigelman, education faculty, co-presented a paper titled “Leaders Catalyzing Change by Initiating Critical Conversations about Mathematics Across the Grades” at the virtual Annual Conference of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics on May 1.
  7. Patricia A. Schechter, history faculty, presented “The Worker Housing Movement in Cordoba in the 1920s” at the Association for Spanish Portuguese Historical Studies’ 51st annual meeting on May 1. 
  8. Shoshana Zeisman-Pereyo, The Learning Center interim director, and Jessica Kenny, The Learning Center interim academic coach, presented “The Time is Now: Bridging High School and College Through Social Workers” at the PNW School Social Work Conference on May 13.
