  1. Talya Bauer and Berrin Erdogan, business faculty, had their article “Built to Last: Interactive Effects of Perceived Overqualification and Proactive Personality on New Employee Adjustment,” published in 2019 in Personnel Psychology, recognized as one of the journal’s top cited articles. 
  2. Scott Burns, geology faculty emeritus, was interviewed on Channel 2 (KATU) on April 26 and on Channel 6 (KOIN) on April 29 about the earthquake cluster on the Blanco Fault Zone along the southeast Oregon coast.
  3. Maurice Hamington, philosophy faculty and women, gender, and sexuality studies affiliate faculty, was interviewed for “A Spirit of Care with Maurice Hamington” with the Prindle Institute for Ethics at DePauw University’s Examining Ethics podcast. He addresses the evolving idea of feminist care ethics.
  4. Brandon Reich, business faculty, has been chosen to receive the 2021 JCP Early Contributor Award based on his co-authored paper “An Appeal to Intimacy: Consumer Response to Platform-Appeal Fit on Social Media,” published in the October 2020 issue of the Journal of Consumer Psychology. The award was announced at the 2021 Society for Consumer Psychology conference from March 4-6.
  5. Michael J. Smith, education faculty, participated in a NASPA Live Briefing-Webinar, which hosted 272 sites. Smith was one of three authors to participate from the book “At the Intersection: Understanding and Supporting First Generation Students,” publishing May 15.
