Advising Handbook

Project Status: Planning

The charge of this project is to develop an advising handbook, to be ready for use by the Fall term 2026. This is an important step toward institutionalizing advisor development and ensuring we offer a consistent standard of care across all advising pathways. The primary goal is to compile existing advising training materials into a single comprehensive resource and to plan a structured biannual review process to keep the content relevant.

  • Kicked off in Spring 2026
  • Outlined the milestones and timeline the team needs to complete to meet the Fall 2026 deadline
  • Outlined main content areas
    • Sent a feedback form to the advising community to gain insight into additional topics that should be included

  • Drafting the handbook
  • Feedback is being collected from the advising community

Project Health

  • The short timeline of this project leaves little room for unforeseen delays, but the group feels confident that the handbook can be completed in the given timeline.
