What do we do in the Portland Scholars Summer Program?

The Portland Scholars Summer Program offers a fun and engaging learning environment. Instead of traditional lectures, we focus on a learner-centered approach, meaning YOU are at the center of everything we do. Each day will bring new and exciting activities, guest speakers, panels, projects, and ways to connect with the PSU campus.

The Portland Scholars summer program was intentionally designed to provide perks, benefits, and enhancements to your first year at PSU:

  • Earn 4 credits for FREE during the summer program
  • Connect with Scholars Peer Mentors with any questions during the two week program
  • Small class sizes to get to know your peers, faculty, and support staff across campus
  • Embedded resources to make it easier for you to learn how to navigate campus
  • Scholars Peer Mentor hosted events for you to make friends and connections to campus
  • An assigned Scholars Academic Support Specialist to help you with any questions or concerns
  • Pre-registration for your fall term FRINQ course and mentor session to get you your preferred FRINQ, where you will be cohorted with fellow Portland Scholars!
