PSU Theater Arts mounts three productions each year across two distinct venues in Lincoln Hall: the 60-seat Boiler Room Studio and the 466-seat Lincoln Performance Hall. Our shows range from classic plays to contemporary musicals, each one striving to reach professional excellence.  We believe every performance should have a thrilling impact on a modern audience.

Our students don’t just observe, they lead. Actors, designers, directors and technicians work under the mentorship of working professionals, turning their training into practice in real time.

PSU Impro Ensemble

The PSU Impro Ensemble (P.I.E.), composed primarily of Theater Arts majors, focuses on theatrical improvisation. They perform several times a quarter for different events and festivals.

Join A Production

Any PSU student — not just theater majors — can get involved. Audition for the stage, join a production crew, or be part of the PSU Impro Ensemble. Find out how to join.

Donate to Theater Arts

Your support makes it possible. Gifts to the PSU Theater Arts Program Fund sustain the work on our stages. Gifts to the Theater Arts Scholarship Fund invest in the artists who will shape Portland theater for years to come.
