Janelle joined the Theater Department in 2025. She has previously taught classes and directed a costume production for Theater, Opera, and Dance events at Colorado State University. She also teaches Costume and Makeup design courses concurrently at Mt. Hood Community College. She takes inspiration from her students discovering the craft and building upon it during their college experience.
 

Outside of the university, Janelle is a freelance Costume Designer and Artisan for over 15 years. She has worked for Broadway Rose Theater Company, Portland Revels, Lakewood Center of the Arts, 21ten Theater, Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theater, Profile Theater, Enlightened Theatrics, OpenStage Theater, Bas Bleu Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Camelot Theater, Cirque du Soleil, and national tours such as Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, The Producers, and Disney on Ice.
 

Janelle holds a MS and BA degree in Apparel and Merchandising and Theater Design at Colorado State University.
