The PSU Percussion Ensemble presents contemporary works for chamber percussion ensemble which include:

Seaborne - Mvt. 1 "Above" by Garth Neustadter (with film by Kjell van Sice)
Variations on a Ghanaian Theme by Daniel Levitan
Log Cabin Blues by George Hamilton Green
Double Drum Dutch by Ayanna Woods
Sculpture in Wood by Rüdigar Pawassar
Kangaroopak Sardha by Terry Longshore

Seaborne (by Emmy-award winner composer Garth Neustadter) features coordination with live film projection, and for this piece, we're featuring graduate collaborative pianist Charlie Copeland and undergraduate pianist AJ Allida. "Above" is the first movement of a three-movement work, which was premiered by The Percussion Collective. Log Cabin Blues is a ragtime xylophone work by George Hamilton Green featuring percussion major Andrés Pinzón as xylophone soloist. Double Drum Dutch is a recently-composed work by Ayanna Woods, and was commissioned and premiered by Chicago's GRAMMY-winning ensemble Third Coast Percussion. Lastly, Kangaroopak Sardha by Terry Longshore will feature the entire ensemble and is based on both North and South Indian traditional forms and rhythms.
