Three acclaimed artists meet at the intersection of genres and cultural traditions to create an experience of boundary-defying music. From soulful cello lines and Latin rhythms to poetic songs and textured guitar soundscapes, the program invites audiences into moments where diverse journeys converge and transform into something entirely new. Let these three visionary artists take you on a stirring journey where musical realms merge.
Dave Eggar—Grammy-nominated virtuoso cellist, pianist, and composer—moves seamlessly between jazz, classical, world, and reggae, bringing the depth of his prodigy training at Juilliard and Harvard alongside a celebrated career arranging and performing with artists from Coldplay to Esperanza Spalding. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Eggar

Martin Zarzar—Peruvian-American percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer—draws from a rich upbringing, bridging Lima and Europe, a Berklee scholarship, acclaimed, multilingual solo albums, and work with Pink Martini. His music blends Latin, jazz, world, and pop in multiple languages, weaving stories of movement and cultural resonance. https://martinzarzar.com

Mario Díaz—multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, educator, and guitar program coordinator at Portland State University—brings influences from both the U.S. and South America, and a deep passion for community building, musical collaboration, and cross-cultural dialogue. https://www.pdx.edu/music-theater/profile/mario-diaz
